Job specification Key Responsibilities : - Provide high-quality veterinary care to companion animals in a friendly and professional manner. - Carry out routine GP procedures, including vaccinations, spay/neuter surgeries, dental work, and wound care. - Conduct consultations with pet owners to assess health issues, provide diagnoses, and develop treatment plans. - Manage regular sole charge shifts with confidence and professionalism, ensuring smooth clinic operations during these periods. - Handle emergency cases, routine treatments, and post-operative care independently during sole charge days. Candidate requirements - Degree in Veterinary Medicine (DVM) and full qualification to practice in the UK (RCVS registration). - Strong clinical and surgical skills, with experience handling a variety of routine procedures. - Ability to work confidently in a sole charge capacity, managing the clinic and providing veterinary care independently. - Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex medical information in a straightforward manner to clients. - Flexibility to work 3, 4, or 5 days per week, with some Saturday morning availability. - A proactive approach to veterinary care, with a strong focus on patient welfare and client satisfaction.
