Candidate requirements - Hold a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree, or equivalent, from an accredited institution and be eligible for veterinary licensure in California. - Demonstrate sound clinical foundations in small animal medicine, including examination, diagnosis, treatment planning, routine surgery and dentistry. - Be familiar with laboratory testing, radiography and other diagnostic tools used in general practice. - Communicate clearly and sensitively with pet owners, explaining clinical findings and treatment options. - Work effectively with colleagues and manage competing priorities in a busy practice. - Show a commitment to ethical, evidence-based care, patient safety and continuing professional development. Previous small animal practice experience is preferred. New graduates with strong clinical fundamentals and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply. In this role, you will perform thorough examinations and develop appropriate treatment plans for dogs and cats; deliver preventive healthcare, including vaccinations and client education; perform dental procedures and soft tissue surgery; provide basic emergency care; interpret diagnostic findings; maintain accurate medical records; and work closely with the wider team to uphold clinical standards.
